DinoPassport is a free directory that helps families find dinosaur activities. We keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains what happens to your information when you use the site.

No accounts, no sign-up

You don't create an account to use DinoPassport, and we don't ask for personal details to browse.

Your location

When you tap "find dinosaurs near me," your browser asks your permission to share your location. That location is used only in your browser to sort spots by distance — it is never sent to us or stored on our servers.

Saved spots

When you save a spot, it is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) on that device. We can't see your saved list, and it never leaves your device.

Forms you choose to submit

If you submit a new spot, a review, or contact us, we receive what you type (and your email if you provide one) so we can respond or moderate the submission. We use a third-party form service to receive these messages. Reviews are moderated before appearing on the site.

Cookies and advertising

DinoPassport may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info. Visitors in the EEA/UK will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are popular. This does not identify you personally.

Children

DinoPassport is intended for parents and guardians planning family outings, not for direct use by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
