Founded in 1812, this is the oldest natural science museum in the Americas, and its Dinosaur Hall displays more than 30 dinosaurs and other Mesozoic reptiles beneath a full-size T. rex. It's also where the world's first mounted dinosaur skeleton, Hadrosaurus foulkii, went on public display in 1868, so kids get real paleontology history alongside the bones. The hands-on Big Dig lets younger children excavate replica fossils, and the Outside In wing next door adds live animals for a break between galleries.
