Perched in the foothills above the university, this museum's Past Worlds gallery shows off one of the world's largest collections of mounted Allosaurus skeletons, all dug from Utah's own Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry. Kids can walk right underneath towering sauropod mounts and peer into working fossil-prep areas where real research happens. The building itself, with sweeping valley views, makes a great half-day stop before or after hiking the surrounding foothill trails.
